I am equally excited, but the official day for practice is January 30.
It is just nice to now the count down has begun, my boy has been released to start throwing off the mound which is the best Christmas and New Year present a Dad and Cowboy's baseball fan could get!!!

Cowboy Fan...it's really great to hear that he's good to go. I'll be praying for his continued health and much success. Always remember, God decides who does and doesn't succeed, not men.
Let the big man know that he has "unseen" people rooting for him and tell him to have faith and enjoy every minute!!

4G - Thanks, he lurks here and no doubt he will read this himself.
It is very possible we are already seeing God's plan, he was accepted to Alabama and got a nice academic scholarship. So at this point it is all about getting ready to be part of a team and helping his buddies go as far as God will allow them towards state.

That's awesome!! Can't get much better than the SEC.
Haven't kept up with Alabama much for the last few years but I think he would fit in real nice on their staff. I know they've got two or three senior pitchers and some other good young up and coming guys. Adding a player with his ability could really help them next year and with his academic money and the new D-1 rules, the Crimson Tide would be getting a great deal.
If it all comes to pass, there could be a lot of "in state" schools scratching their heads in a few years.
Ahhh yes....but it's all about the journey not the destination!!
