This is the second annual Power Showcase, which displays the top talent from all across Florida. Each Player has the opportunity to showcase their power in front of every major league organization. The main sponsors are the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the Florida Marlins. The event will be televised by the Adelphia Cable Network. The 2003 event was won by Brian VanKirk of Westminister academy after bashing a record 38 home runs. He went on to be drafted by the Boston Red Sox but has decided to attend Florida Atlantic University. The website will be up shortly and it can be seen at www.powershowcase.us.
