I own a good bit of these baseball cards but haven't kept up with the values. I was planning on just passing them on to my son one day once I knew he'd cherish and value them without running to the closest memorabilia store and cashing in! lol

The one card I find interestingly low but not shocked is Mark McQuire's USA card. I have that card and had hoped it would be worth more. I also got his autograph at a card show his rookie year. I wonder how much THAT ball is worth? lol
We have a lot of those cards as well. Condition also sets the price.

Autographs do not add to the value, unless it has been authenticated. You can do this by taking it to sonmeone who can. We did this with some of Mantle's cards.

The rookie cards of the kids today with signature worth a lot more because of authentication.

Very true. I still have all of my cards, neatly tucked away in their protective pages in a 3 ring binder. Sorted by year/team/card type (Topps, fleer, etc.)... just the way i left them. I bought them one pack at a time, 35 cents if i remember correctly. I look at them every now and again, brings me back to my child hood every time I look at them.

Priceless.
