3rd strike off the plate

Situation:
Runner on 3rd no outs. Batter has 2 strikes. Pitcher pitches ball that bounces off the plate and the batter swings and misses, no foul tip. The catcher fields the bounce off the plate cleanly into his glove. Batter runs to first. Catcher doesn't apply tag and doesn't throw to first base because of the runner on 3rd. Runner is ruled ??? at first base?

Safe....The ball bouncing off the plate is a 3rd strike not caught and to record the out the Batter/runner must be tagged or thrown out to record the out.....
