TR, it was amazing to watch the highlights last night on ESPN's Baseball tonight. To see the incredible mechanics, offspeed pitches, and total command. This early in the season, the hitters timing seems to be off. But not to slight Jamie, he is amazing. I agree with Harold Reynolds when he said Jamie could win 15-20 this year. Way to go Jamie, you make me feel young!

Funny how velocity gets you recognized, but when you make it to the show, command keeps you there. They probably could care less about your velocity as long as you had great command and got outs. After all, that is what it is all about. Seen Moyer throw 80 -81 last night, amazing.
I covered him in A ball a long time ago. He was a strikeout pitcher who threw pretty hard. Talk about someone who has mastered his craft ...

Moyer is amazing. I think they said the Indians have not beaten him in five or six years! What a baseball role model for all the guys that don't throw the really hard heat. I put Tom Glavine in the same category. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I believe Zach Duke of the Pirates can be as good as or better than these pitchers.
