I heard cleburne wanted to go one game against heights but lost the coin flip. Why would you want to one game heights with Walker Kelly?

Heights is probably better team from top to bottom... but if Cleburne wins series, it will NOT be an upset... if you think so, then you haven't seen much baseball this spring.

Arlington Heights is a solid team. Have seen them play a couple of times this year and for the most part, they can flat out hit the ball.

Cleburne is a good baseball team too. They have a good program and probably stand out more from the pitching stand point.

My prediction is Young vs.AHHS pitcher the score will be low. Ill give it to Cleburne 3-1.
Hood Vs. AHHS Heights will take it about 8-1
Now if this series goes on to Saturday im lost! No idea on there number three's. This should be a great series to watch!

I think if Heights can get by Young tonight and get a win the series will be pretty easy. I like the depth of pitching Heights brings to the table. It will be hard for a team to bring the number of quality pitchers that they have (Jones 8-0, Kelly 8-0, and Miller 6-1)they can also hit the ball a little bit

after just playing cleburne and getting thumped in the second game you think i would be apt to say cleburne could hang but i honestly think heights takes it in two there dominating and the lefty from cleburne is hittable with a little patience (he is extremly talented dont get me wrong) but his fastball is by no means overpowering like Walker Kelly

Heights wins game won 9-4 and goes up 1-0 in the series. Heights scored 6 runs in the first off cleburne's ace. Soph Nathan Livingstone, jv short stop, play right field in his first varsity game and hits a Hr and has an outfield assist it was a pretty amazing night for the jv call up. Walker Kelly also hit a Hr in the win

Yes Jones does play for the cats not sure about Young. Young didnt make it out of the first inning last night and didnt record an out.He could possibly still be an option tonight or saturday if the series goes that long since he didnt throw that much last night.

heights sweeps cleburne game two was 6-5 very close came down to the final out to decide the outcome. Walker Kelly threw a complete game struggled at times but was able to get the timely strikeouts. next stop abilene to face either estacado or friendship. i think frienship won game one tonight

What summer team does WK play for?

PG reports that WK will play for the Midland Redskins out of Cincinatti this summer.

I also heard that he will spend his local time with the FW Cats -- I'm not sure which age group. It seems inprobable that he can play for two AABC Connie Mack teams in the same season.

I'm not going to make any predictions. I just hope Frenship can hang in there with Heights. I don't imagine we've played any common oponents unless maybe it would be Arlington Martin (they beat us in the Lubbock Tournament 12-2) or maybe San Angelo Central (we beat them in the Fredericksburg Tournament 6-1). Heights played martin and lost 9 to 11 in a warm up but didnt throw number 1, 2, or 3 they beat 5a mansfield who just lost and colleyville Heritage who are still in the playoffs. I heard frenship has a really good left pitcher anyone seen him play?

I see on other schools websites they also defeated 5a teams such as Colleyville Heritage, Denton Ryan, Grandbury, and my sons team Grapevine. Is there a Heights team website?

Frenship's ace is Tyler Lyons. He's a Sr. left hander that has signed with Oklahoma State. His only losses are two 1-0 decisions, one to Andrews and the other to Lubbock Coronado in a playoff warm-up game during the bye week.

Andrews is a solid team. We beat them at their place 6-2 in extra innings, and then they got the 1-0 win at our place. Their only other district loss was to Lubbock Estacado at EHS in the last game of the regular season. EHS had their backs against the wall to win in order to get the #3 spot. Just like the Frenship/Heights matchup, it's hard to guess how they'll match up with Rider.
