Jamen Parten had a perfect game through four and two thirds before giving up a single and getting pulled. Great outing.

Riley Senor, Bo Altobelli and Brett Johnson hit back to back to back jacks in the fourth.

Fun night for the folks from Plano.

Tim Parish pitched lights out and gave up his only hit of the night in the botton of the 7th.

Parish was tough. Struck out 8 and walked no one. The only run was unearned and scored in the bottom of the 7th. His stuff was really good tonight. Defense was outstanding behind him as well. Rockwall will try and close the series out tomorrow night. First pitch at 7:30 LIVE! at www.sportsgram.net

You actually shorted Easley a K...He was outstanding tonight with 16 K's. The Lamar pitchers also pitched well with 9 K's for Laronde and 1 K for Duncan. This was an excellent game. A tough call at the plate on a squeeze play in the top of the 8th put Weatherford up and it was all Easley in the Bottom half of the 8th.

Williams and Durham EACH hit a GrandSlam in the 4th. Williams later hit a 2 run homer. FM showed tremendous power at the plate. Game 2 is at FM @ 7:00 on Friday.

Midlothian - 9
Red Oak - 6

Games had some sloppy moments from both teams. Red Oak took a one run lead in the bottom of the 6th, but Midlothian came up with 4 runs in the 7th to win the game. Midlothian looks like the stronger team and should take this three game series.

Heath and Centennial played the first playoff game for either school at Frisco. Heath continued their red hot ways and won number 15 in a row. Drew Benefield pitched a 2 hit shutout and Jake Thompson set the tone for the game with a grand slam in the top of the first. Heath scored in all 5 innings. Game 2 at Heath Friday @ 7:30. Impressive night for 10 4A.

Looks like it was a great night for high school baseball. For most part, games were close and exciting.

Just happened to be at Lamar Weatherford game...Classic pitching duel....Shame a blown call at home was the decider. Both teams (and pitchers) deserve kudos
