For 4A, I predict Corpus Christi Calallen, which is currently ranked #19 in the country by ESPN. A perennial powerhouse, Calallen has two great arms:

Adam Hoelscher (LHP) 6’3/175 – Was injured last year and didn't get to pitch. Played for Columbia Angels last summer and signed with A&M-Corpus Christi. His brother plays for TCU.

Jordan John (LHP) 6'2/190 - In 2008, he went 11-1 with a 1.47 ERA, 85 2/3 IP, and 125 K's. He has signed with Oklahoma.

Well I have seen both Birdville and Coppell

No way on Birdville, mostly offense not much good pitching............

Coppell? Yeah d-1's and all but right now they look a little like they believe their clippings. They are beatable, its not automatic. I just don't think they do it.

I was disappointed with Waxahachie too.

Too early to tell who will show up from up here in NT just yet. There are some bad assumptions being made about some schools that have been baseball powers. They have been written off, but they are playing well and will get better as the new blood gets their feet wet.

Jury is out.

How about that since 04' 4A Champs have come from Region 4 and blown out opponents a combined 37-7 in the state finals. the tough road has been getting to state out of region 4 in 4A, the rest of the way like I said has been a cake walk and those are the facts

PW errors thursday and PW errors Friday. You might try being more humble because if PW doesn't clean-up it's defense that will be a major stumbling block for them this year.

Yes Jakey, everyone that knows baseball, or how to use the UIL athletic site, knows that the south has been a contender or champion in 4A baseball for several years. That's a great tool for predicting champions. I just thought you might have some insight that the rest of us didn't have access too.
