After a lot of calculations with a few coaches, we've determined that on the team I'm on right now, we currently have 9 guys that run sub-7 second 60's. Their times (proven, I was there it's not just word of mouth or them exaggerating) were, respectively:

6.96- MIF
6.93- OF
6.88- OF
6.85- OF
6.79- MIF
6.71- P~ also 40 inch vert. leap
6.68- MIF
6.61- MIF
6.46- OF~ #1 SPARQ rating in the nation as per PG

It seems to me this is above average but I'm not sure. What does everything think of these times? Most of them were laser timed, I think 6 or 7 by PG.

BeenthereIL- I didn't believe it at first either but the Richmond Braves program is outstanding so even though it's a stretch, that sort of thing is believable in a program like that.

3up-3down- I didn't really know any of my teammates when they were freshman. I have gained a half second on my 60 and I'm just starting a full workout program just because my body filled out better. In the beginning of my freshman year I had just turned 14 and was about 5'6", 145 lbs. Now I'm 16 and just started my junior year and I'm 5'11", 180 lbs. My 60 time is about 7.16, which is considered probably average, but I'm a pitcher.

As for the other guys, they've always been fast. The majority of the guys mentioned are inner city kids and were born in the Dominican Republic. For example: the kid who ran the 6.61 60 literally got his visa a week ago and turned down $60,000 from the Giants and Nationals on the island. He played his first game with us yesterday. The few that I knew back then probably gained a few tenths of a second, but generally in baseball you can't teach speed.

lololololololol on all of these sub 7 second times for 15 and 16 year old kids.

Next thing you know, someone will announce a 4 man rotation in high school with everyone cruising at 95-97 with a few topping 105.

Get real.

My high school team has just that pitching rotation. Our top four starters are all consistently around 100. Their names are Nolan Ryan Jr., Bob Feller III, Bob Gibson VI and Joel Zumaya Sr. (because he's still only 21). Scary, huh? And to think we only win league and can't win state, tells you a lot about the other teams, huh?
