The Pitch and Hit Club of Chicago is a professional baseball organization that promotes the game of baseball in the Chicago area. The Pitch and Hit Club was formed by a group of Major League players and scouts in January of
1942, originally as a social organization. Since its inception, the Club has grown substantially in size as well as its stature in the professional baseball community. The role of the club has changed through the years, sponsoring various teams and tournaments, and will this year, host the premier amateur workout to showcase the highest-level amateur baseball talent in Illinois and the surrounding states.

Since I haven't seen or heard this info in the news or newspapers, I am not sure if it is legit but it certainly appears to be.

Good to see my buddy Dave Littlefield and Rene Gayo, two great people in the business...again a wonderful event. I second Larry Monroe's comment about the club being revitalized, some of us remember the old days at the Martinique
