For the 8th straight year, the New England Catching Camp is pleased to announce it will award (1) $500.00 scholarship to a graduating High School senior catcher. THIS YEAR ALL 50 STATES ARE ELIGIBLE!!!
The scholarship can be applied for by either baseball or softball catchers. All applications received will be reviewed by a panel of NECC staff members as well as a group of individuals from business, education, and athletics. The group will make their selection of the 2013 recipient by July 30th, 2013.
The following criteria will be used to determine the recipient of the scholarship:
1) Will be graduating from High School in 2013 and attending a college in the Fall of 2013.
2) 2 yrs High School Catcher (Baseball or Softball)
3) A student in Good Standing
4) Community service
5) School involvement
6) Work Experience
7) Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or Guidance counselor
8) An Essay relating to Catchers
9) Must be received by June 30th, 2013
