I wanted to let everyone know the latest on T-bone and his progress in (Freshmen/JV) high school ball. If you do not remember him, in another post... he is the kid that tried out for his future 5A high school team as an 8th grader and made it competing against many others. I am pleased to report that so far the age difference has not bothered T-bone playing against and with kids that are a year or two older than he is. So far, T-bone has started every game, has a .600 batting average based on 10 AB with 3 singles, two doubles and one triple. 4 innings pitched, 7Ks and 2ER. He is also playing 1B and left field when he is not pitching. The coaches seem to really like him and his fellow teammates have quickly accepted him. I am very happy to report those pitching and hitting lessons along with agility training from this past winter has really helped my son in his first year of high school ball. He has also indicated it is a lot better playing for a hired coach instead of playing Daddy ball. For him saying that, I now know it is time to move on to another team after this summer. Thanks to all on this board for your advice during this transition in my son's baseball "career."

This is the "high school" baseball web and not a personal blogging forum. You are welcome to post your son's stats or accomplishments at the top of this forum in the high school reporting thread as you already did. Thanks.
