For all the parents of players who are now playing minor league or summer college league
baseball, I recommend you to encourage the player to keep a daily journal.

For hitters, this daily journal will record the advise of hitting coaches, the opposing pitcher
name and his tendencies in game conditions. The nature of the baseball park, wind conditions, damp air, etc. You may face this pitcher again this summer, maybe two years later in pro baseball. "Get the edge"

For pitchers, daily journal on the suggestions from the pitching coach, "how to read the bat",
the type of pitchers mound in each park, base stealing by the opposing players who can run and
assets and liability of my team catchers.

This journal will make your life easier, because you will adjust quicker to "frustrations" involved in this game of baseball.

Our players traveling to Australia to play International are advise to record their daily experiences. They will face the Aussie hitter or pitcher later in pro baseball.
