LovetheGame, I'd be happy to share. I'm 5'11, 135. Bat lefty, throw righty and I'm an OF/P.

My experience was great in that, the first school that showed interest in me is the one that is the best fit for me. They recruited me as a pitcher after seeing me throw at a showcase. I topped out at 82 but the coach loved that I attacked the strikezone and pitched to contact. The coach didn't talk to me at the showcase but did call me after the camp to set up a visit. The coach did a great job of showing off the campus and answered all my questions before I even got a chance to. I fell in love with the place after that.
My hitting has come around lately so I asked if they would consider me for two positions and they said they would take a look at me when I came up there for a camp. Long story short, I stroked the ball and they are taking me on as an OF and a pitcher and they told me playing time would come fast. The coaches were honest with me from day one, they sold the school well, and they love the game.

I ended up choosing the school over a bigger D3 program and a JuCo program in NC because of the fit. I already got along with a lot of the players, I'll get to come in and compete right away, the school offered for academics, they helped me finacially, and I love the small campus feel.

The experience was tremendous. The chance to have options in front of me and I got to pick was exciting and it was awesome to knock out one of my major goals I've been working for.

Congrats! You sound like an awesome, mature bb player. It's refreshing to read your posts and know YOU did the research on this site and benefited from it. It is great that you have taken your future into your own hands and made this happen. I think that you will be very successful in college, athletically and academically.
