Firstly I would like to say that I've been a long time lurker on this message board and have read with extreme interest every article past or present on the subject of college recruiting. Secondly, my son just got his first meaningful acknowledgment; a written offer to play baseball in the 2011/2012 season....this from a very prestigious NAIA University.

The advice both good, bad, and indifferent gleamed from this website and message board helped to shape our thinking these past couple years on exposure, marketing, the do's & dont's, on field presence, attitude, work ethic, etc. -- I could go on about the lessons given and the message received but will leave it with these simple words:

Thank you all for helping my son's dream come true and for helping to make this moment possible in the first place!!

Signed

IMO, what this website is all about. Worth every lurking minute.

Congrats to you and your son LTF.
Dear Luv,

Money is money! I am sure you will figure it out. I think most families these days have some sort of student loan in place to help their child get through school.

Our son recently committed also, and I echo your thoughts regarding the opinions and suggestions on the site. Great resource of information.

The work ahead for ours sons is significant, but I am confident they will work hard on the field and classroom and have a great college experience.

Take care and keep swinging it.

Lefty
