So I am a 2010 senior and currently being recruited by one of my top choice colleges. I visited the college he had two senior's from the team give me a tour around the campus then I met up with the coach and we talked. Basically he has seen me play a couple times at tournaments and feels that I can fit in. They have a senior ss, a senior 3b and 2 junior 2b's and he said that he talked to my summer coach already and that I can play all of those positions and that I have potential. So he is losing 6 seniors this year so he has about 4 full scholarships to give I think for this recruiting class. He also had a big recruiting class last year. So I was told to fill out the application and see how much academic money I will recieve then we can get the ball rolling on athletic money (im pretty sure thats what he said). Also to visit again through admissions and after my tour I can practise with the team to just let him know the date. So I have emailed him once like the day after my tour thanking him for his time and stuff, I also emailed him a couple days later letting him know when im visiting again with admissions to see if the date works for me to practise with the team, no replies to any of these emails so I also called and left a voice message a few days ago and no response still. So would this be considered over doing it on my part? Is this normal that I am not recieving any responses? Also how do you guys feel about the athletic/academic money situation? Thank you for your help im just a little confused

I agree with fanofgame. Early signing is coming up and if you are fortunate enough to be one of those that sign during this period, coaches will be in contact with you regularly to make sure that they have you available to send a LOI to. Of course, there is always the possibility that he is on vacation and not checking messages. He may also be preoccupied with making cuts to his fall roster as well. But, I would put some additional programs in the hopper if I were you...

They are not in a dead or quiet period.

Perhaps the coach needs to wait for a response from the admissions department before he responds to you.
