Both schools are on a huge roll, SU currently undefeated at 14-0 and ranked #2 in the country, and CNU at 21-1, winning 20 in a row, and ranked #9.
Two excellent programs! Both feature solid pitching (team ERA's:CNU 3.00, SU, 3.23), and a lot of hitting (Team Averages: SU, .389, CNU, .331), even with the new bats. They meet at CNU for a two game series April 2-3, and if both keep at it, Newport News will see a National top 5 match-up of two in-conference schools.
