An interesting Friday night. An alumni team made up of former Madison Mallards of the Northwoods league played a game against some old guys. Some names included Rich “Goose” Gossage, Vida Blue, Jim Gantner, Dave Kingman, Bill “Spaceman” Lee, Jay Johnstone, Steve Trout, Harmon Killebrew and Ryne Duren. It was a good night of nostalga. My son because of his injury was the 3rd base coach. After the game all the guys went for dinner and stories. He said "that is the way you should respect the game. It isn't all between the lines and it doesn't stop when you call it quits".
