Its supposed to be fun.

I remember when people would come on this site - and literally - say that you sucked. No hints - just direct suckage aimed squarely at one's forehead. LOL

We are much more PC now - so claims of outright suckage are frowned upon - but dancing around the edges is still fun.

I think I quit the site about 34 times - and got many of my more passionate posts deleted. In fact - one person actually accused me of being the Antichrist. I kid you not.

I like to kid around - but I am most definitely not related to Lucifer.

And the globe just keeps on spinning despite it all.

That is a great question. I believe they mentioned it on the MLB network but I cannot remmeber now.

As you know, I am only kidding about Art! It takes beau coup talent obviously to play in the big leagues!
Fanofgame,

I wanted to also add my invitation to stick around. You hit the nail on the head with this quote:

This is stupid.

As ClevelandDad explained, sometimes when a thread has turned into a food fight, it seems to clear the air to just goof off at each other... to be "stupid" on purpose.

Now, who is going to clean the food off of the walls and floor?!?!? Eek

CD - here it is:

Shamsky tied a major league record by homering in 4 consecutive at bats for the Reds on August 12 and 14 of 1966.

Perhaps most remarkable, the first three home runs were hit in a game in which he was inserted in the ninth inning, as a pinch hitter. He homered in that appearance and remained in the game to hit home runs in his next two extra-inning at bats, extending the game each time.

The feat made Shamsky the first player in Reds history to hit two extra-inning home runs in one game.

He is also the only player in Major League history to hit three home runs in a game who was not in the starting lineup when the game began. The fourth home run was hit as a pinch hitter in the next game.

Arthur Louis Shamsky.

The Shaminator.
