Yes it did happen. It was crazy. A lefty throwing 85 threw one inside to a right handed hitter. Right on the silver part of the bat, it cracked in half. its a good thing he did not hit it on the bat head, or it could have killed someone.

I thought this was the strongest bat ever made? lol

I saw this happen last year. The composite panels pop out and break into pieces if you hit them just right. I don't think the barrels are prone to breaking, though, so if he'd've hit it on the barrel you wouldn't have seen the problem.

Break or no break, $350 is an absurd amount to pay for a bat. For that much money it should swing itself and guarantee contact on the sweet spot. I guess it's OK, but I don't notice any advantage over what you can get off the year-old racks for $200, still in the original plastic rappers.

I know exactly what you mean. I had a Triple 7 for a couple years and it still had pop it in. I would still be using it if it wasnt to light
