What a horrible way to see Mariano Rivera possibly end his career. In addition to being the greatest relief pitcher ever, he's always been a class act in a place that it's not so easy to do so.

Hopefully he can recover from this and baseball fans from all over can give him the send off he deserves!

No way Moe ends his career this way and will come back in 2013. He still has the arm and is still a great athlete. He's probably still the best athlete on the Yankees which is why his part of his routine is shagging flyballs in the OF. He may be their best outfielder who likely now will ever get the chance to play out there before he retires. There was talk he might get a shot to play CF before he retires. However, with this injury, I don't see that happening now. And when Moe does hang it up, David Robertson will be the next Yankee great closer. Robertson has the makeup, has pitched in all the Yankees big spots including playoffs and World Series and studied from the best reliever in the game. Only that Robertson's job as closer will be delayed a little longer.
