One of the first rules of marketing is to know your target audience....

My son is on the recruiting mail list for Pepperdine. A few months ago they started sending, one at a time, letters counting down the top "15 reasons to go to Pepperdine."

He just received #5. It read, simply:

Pepperdine student population: 65% female, 35% male.

They sure know who their customer is!

They also should have included a picture of the pool with the nice lawn that the co-eds hangout at. The coach who took us on a tour of the campus was so proud about the fact that he "had" to drive by it each day as he is going to the baseball field and was selling the facts about the student population Wink
