ABCA presentations

Let me get all of my notes into an electonic format.

It was an awesome weekend.

It was a great time and alot of information for sure. JBaioni i would be interested in your notes also to see what i missed :-)

This may take a while. I'm combining my notes with the notes of my four other staff member's that were in attendance.

Plus, there's a lot of stuff in the booklet they gave out at the beginning that some of the coaches didn't even touch on. LOTS of information.

That's awesome...it would be great if you could share whatever you put together. If you need to make copies and send your stuff via snail mail, let me know and I'll take care of your costs.

This was my 9th straight ABCA Convention, and it was as good as any I have been to.

I will say this, it was more in depth than the other ones with the presenters using a lot more video with their power point.

I think the registration is like $70 or $80 (dirt cheap if you ask me)....I would reccomend it to anyone who can afford the travel or know someone to share the travel/hotel costs with. Without a doubt, the best thing you can do as a Coach to get better.

There were 4,400 Coaches registered this year.

I thought it was a great convention as well. There were actually over 4,600 coaches there...that beat the old record by more than 400 people!

The ABCA convention is a great place to go to get fired up about coaching. I can't wait for our season to start!

I thought your presentation on catching was outstanding. Not just saying that either, really good stuff.

Brian Cain is psychotic. Extremely good at what he does and I would love to hear him some more. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

But make no mistake about it...dude is NUTS!

There were so many really good speakers. 101, as I said, you did a fantastic job. Loved listening to infield play, Brian Green from UK and Marty Lees from Oregon St were really good.

Others: Ray Tanner, Gary Ward, John Savage, Jack Leggett, Mike Bianco, Dan O'Brian, HOJO and Abbatine, Randy Mazey, Tim Esmay, Brian Shoop, and Jay Alexander...off the top of my head.

Gary Ward was a great listen. i would like to sit around with him and have him tell stories lol.

Cain has more energy then my 2 year old. he is crazy you could feel the energy in the room when he spoke.

I'm not going to lie, Ward made me jump at least once. He was entertaining.

I have audio of just about every single presentation, 22 of em to be exact. I'd be more than willing to send them out to anyone interested. However, the files are too big for me to send over my email and I'm not savvy enough to compress the files.

If anyone can help me with that then I'll send them out to anyone and everyone. The avg file is about 30 MB and G-Mail limits the attachment size to 25 MB.

Rick....i'd caution you against doing this as the ABCA sells the presentations and has some copyright protection on the speakers....not saying they'd hunt you down, but they'd be within their rights to do so....i don't work for them or have any affiliation, but i'd be careful here.

Bsballfan - good call. They said no photography or video, but didn't say anything about audio, so I figured I was in the clear. You're probably right about spreading the files though.
