Academic All State

Congrats to all those young men on this great achievement to be honored by the THSBCA in this manner.

What a shame more people don't comment on this thread. Just my opinion ~ I read this forum everyday and wonder ~ nevermind.

Swingdoc - you are correct, it should get more attention. When I went to the site to look at the list I found the all academic teams really hard to read, small print all run together with a loud colorful background...I took one look at it and gave up trying to read it...looks like I need to go back to school.

There are obviously many excellent students missing ---- swingdoc -- how is this team picked?

The District Rep is suppose to hand out forms at the All-District selection meeting. If he didn't download the document and copy it, to pass out to all coaches in that district, well you do the math after that. If he did pass them out the coach then takes them to his players and its up to the player and the player's counslor to get the form filled out and turned in by the deadline. If requirements are met ~ the player is announced. Takes an over-all GPA of 93 if I remember correctly.

Congrats to Bobby Curtis of Allen HS and the McKinney Marshals.

But it does seem that only a few HS are represented on the list.
