Background: 15, good student, sophomore. 6'0", 145 lbs, 4.4 GPA, 25 on ACT composite, 30 in English last time I took it, which was a few months back. I was wondering, does anybody know any good academic JUCO/D1's I could look at?
You should be able to find what you want at any CA JC, however the larger the JC, the more classes and options they will offer. I am not sure where you can find transfer rates etc.(I am sure its on the internet somewhere), but I have been told Santa Rosa JC has a good transfer rate to UCB. You might want to check with the eventual school you want to transfer to see which JC/s send the most students to them.
Good academic schools are everywhere, its up to the student to take advantage of the oppurtunity.
Maybe we should just find a list of all the bad academic schools that way we will know which ones to avoid?
The bottom line is every school is a bad academic school if the student does not take care of business. And every college can be a good academic situation if the student does.
