My son was just invited to play for the ACBL? I know nothing about this league, website is not very informative. Can anyone give me any scoop on this league? Thanks
I might know alot more, I had coached in the ACBL. Our team made the playoffs , had 5 players drafted, 4 players signing independent league contracts .
the team hit on likley every girl at UPENN without not too much success mind you.
He said that the website was not very helpful and you gave him a link to it? You want us to believe that one team had 9 players sign pro contracts? Did anyone go on to school? Don't tell me the answer because I don't care unless someone else has the answer.
sorry TR, you need to check you facts was there for the whole season,
we got beat in the first two games of the playoffs, about August 1, 2002.
Then tried to drive out out philly the next day, but had tractor trailer tip over on one of the bridges. Made it to East Coast Pro Showcase that night, saw a few games in mega hot heat before heading home back down south.
My resume is just fine, unlike someone people who have no college or pro coaching expierence.
Funny thing -- most people do not claim to have pro or college coaching experience unless they have-- and even if they have it it doesn't make them a good coach
"someone people" --is that a new title of Sly Stone single
By the way I said I hear stories--didnt quote facts--I asked you --
Speaking of resumes--you probably have it well hidden on the "free" angelfire site but I have never seen your college/pro/ softball credentials?
Can you post them here ?
By the way your new ID , E-6 says it all about you-- and it happens on every ball hit to you
Gosh, Didn't mean to start bickering here. The only real question that I had was how are the teams/league funded. I couldn't find that on the website. My son is playing for the Quakertown Blazers. Josh Butler is his name. Junior at ESU (East Stroudsburg). Had a heck of a year there. Fell into somewhat of a slump the last few games but his stats are out of this world.
Thanks for the offer TR of the help. I appreciate that, as always.
summer league teams are funded many ways, grants from MLB baseball, donations, advertising and tickets sales .
it does not costs the players anything. They took a small amount out for housing of players check.
only costs players had with our team was a parking pass at 200 bucks for the summer.Well worth it,one player who rather stick quarters in the meter got his car stolen. did get it back on the other end of philly though.
