I am assuming that the 12/11/10 test questions will be different than the upcoming 2/12/11 questions, is that fair to assume? Does anyone know that for sure?
If you're looking to improve the score, I understand you can order a copy of the test your son just took and the answer sheet to help determine where he can make improvements or identify areas where he may have struggled and work on that prior to the next testing.

Did you memorize all of the questions from the last test?
Eric, ACT has some great resources itself if you look at their website. Also, none of these tests were the same. That is why the code on the test booklet is important. They do test the same concepts. All test in a given testing period will be similar. My daughter took the test 3 times last year. All of the tests were similar. She took the one today. She said it was a lot different that the tests she took last year.
Eric, you had an option to have test scores sent to colleges and the NCAA Clearing House with this test at no charge. I believe 5 places but maybe 4. Anyway, you don't want to do that. Your son is going to take it multiple times. When you get a decent score, it is a good idea then to pay the extra $10 to have the NCAA Clearing House know the score. Then, after you have scores that you like and schools interested in your son, you can have the top scores sent to that school(s). We had my daughter take it again since the school she is going to play softball at will increase the academic portion of her scholarship considerably if she can improve her score by 1 or 2 points. One point means and additional $1,500. Two points means an additional @2,500-$3,000. If she got lucky and improved by 3, she would then get an additional $5,000. Then, provide she keeps her GPA up at college, that increase will be for 4 years. That is significant. Her motivation is that if she improves her numbers, it means that she gets to stay in the nices dorms with internet, TV, ... all paid versusy having to provide those luxuries at the middle level appartment.
Coach B is correct. My daughter took the test in 2008. For $5.00, she had access to practice tests on the ACT website that were scored immediately. They also had practice essay questions if you son needs to take the writing portion. The essays were scored in about 1/2 hour. The feedback was a tremendous help. She could see immediately which areas she needed to work on. The site also had additional problems for those areas that needed work. It may have been the best $5.00 I ever spent. She only took the test 1 time, and got a 31.
