Nice piece on Lake Dallas LHP Adam Boydston in the DMN Sportsday School Day. He is profiled in the Star in the Classroom this week. Adam's father is a regular poster on these boards and was the one that turned me on to this website many years ago.

Have had the pleasure of knowing Adam and his family since he was 11 and played on a select team w/my son. This is one special player and extremely gifted student. Those that have faced him can attest that Adam has a killer, I mean killer of a pick-off move to first.

Congrats to Adam and his family what a future this young man has ahead of him. clap clap clap

obn-Your to kind. Those were the days when baseball was a "little" less stressful. But then again, thats when we could tell our kids were gonna play pro ball someday! Wink I must admit though obn, he does have a pretty good "balk"
move!!

momandcpa- I agree, this kind of news is always good to hear. There are many deserving kids out there and my son just happen to be picked this week.

kellerdad-ahhh yes, the good ole coach pitch days. Hated to see you and Nick leave. What a player Lake Dallas is missing out on. Good luck to Nick his senior year.

Ken-Long time no see or hear other than your controversial posts. Big Grin If I can come over shirtless and barefooted then I will be there.
Give me a call sometime. With Adam throwing over 100 mph and painting the corners the scouts are drooling. You promised me you would be his agent
real cheap. Cool

Danny, Congratulations to both you and Adam! It's always so much fun to read positive pieces like this, but even more so when it's someone you know and someone you respect. Wow,Good at both Calculus and baseball-now that's what I call being well-rounded! Heard we have something to talk about-my daughter just finished her first semester at Texas A&M after voluntarily transferring from UT... AND grades weren't the motivation-she had straight A's at UT in in a difficult major, no less! What's up with that?!?
