a college coach told me today that he had added 15 players to his roster since christmas. is this normal or do most coaches keep their roster in tact from the fall?

I've never heard of 15 guys brought in at semester. I'm assuming this wasn't a division I school
I could be wrong but most likely it was a JUCO. There are a myriad of reasons why a player will leave a D1/D2/D3/NAIA program after just their 1st semester and still want to play baseball.
JUCO's are not as stringent on the transfer rules while some are even quite lax.
P.S. The JUCO we played over the weekend had 15 players not playing because they were academically ineligible after fall. Yes...15!

Even if it was a juco that's an absurd number and definitely not normal.
it is a juco with only 24 players on their current roster. thinking the coach might be exagerating but it is a concern to be looking at that program.

As you can imagine that is not normal that they picked up 15 players and still only have 24. Was there some events that the coach shed other players or is it just a program that does not draw a lot of players.
He must have had to do a lot of recruiting/networking to pick up those 15 players at such a late date, if not he would have been in a really tough situation with only 9 players.

they play a pretty good schedule but they are a small juco in southeast texas. the type of program that you go back to when you cant land at grayson or navarro.
