I am thinking about running a tournement at my High School this summer as a fund raiser for our baseball program. I am not sure what ages I should try to attract. It needs to be 60-90. I also want it to be an open tourney so AAU USSA and any other teams that want to form up to play can attend. Anyone have any suggestions. I want each team to have at least three games played. I have access to two other fields but they do not have lights our does. Please any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I know you said 60'6/90, If your goal is fundraising, my suggestion is the younger the better. Most of the money you will make is on the families. If your players drive, you wont see as many moms and dads.
If you keep it younger, mom, dad, grandma and lots of other family members come with them to watch them play. If they come, they eat, they buy 50/50 raffle tickets, they buy t-shirts.
Coach May,
We ran two tournaments so far and just about ready to do our third. The first one was a two day preseason with 4 teams ( right before the season) the second was a week long called first pitch classic (start of season). It had eight teams. This weeknd we have our annual JV tournament. In all with our sponsor doantions, raffles, concession stand and gate we make about 10K.
