A reputable mlb scout has seen my son play and told him and others that my son will make a good D1 player. Whats the best way to take advantage of this situation? Ask the scout to write a general recommendation of my son which can be sent to numerous colleges or ask the scout to call the coaches of a few colleges that he thinks would be a good fit for my son.
He told my son that he would help him get recruited.

Take nothing for granted

Be pro-active on your own as if nobody has offered to help. Let the scout do his thing and you do yours.

Sometimes sitting back and thinking that things are being done by others can lead to disaster.

What age is your son?
What showcases or high profile tournaments has he been to?
