I don't think he is that old. I have met him and he seens like a nice regular kid. 17-18 or so. I wouldnt put him at 19.
He played in the Tournament of Stars, and the rosters list the birthdates.

Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic's photostream
Take a look at the photos. There is so much more than just the game last Sunday. Too bad they haven't identified the players and what is going on in the pictures.

Cabrera will turn 19 in a few days.

How 'bout that!
The guy leading the infield drill in that first pic looks like none other that Ozzie Smith.
I found a very interesting article on the Perfect Game website.
The past and present scouting reports on Bryce Harper make for a very good read. But I was also touched by a surprising segment of the article about the real purpose for the AFLAC game.

Thanks MN-Mom, for highlighting that part about the real reason behind the Aflac Game. One of the many fun things was the silent (?) auction the night of the big awards dinner. I won a couple of auctions for memorabilia as a rookie to this sort of thing. I learned from my older son (who also won some nice things that night) how to win, especially when we knew the money went to this worthy cause.
I just by chance happened to hear that they are having a fundraiser today and tomorrow. I'll send them a check. I imagine they will take donations anytime, though.
The News/Talk 750 WSB Care-a-Thon benefiting the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta features stories of hope and inspiration from Aflac Cancer Center patients, families and staff.
Tune in and donate Aug. 27 and 28.
They are partnered with San Diego's Rady Children's Hospital, where the players toured and interacted with the patients.
Another worthy cause that received money from the Aflac All-American Game was Coaches Curing Kids' Cancer. One of their fund raisers is suggesting that instead of giving your child's coach a gift at the end of the season, the money be made as a donation in the coach's honor. Nice idea.
