Tonight I watched one of the most awesome high school baseball games I have ever witnessed. Alcoa beat Loudon 1-0 in 14 innings. Alcoa advances to sub-state (sectional) for the FIRST time in school history! I am so drained I don't know much about the game. Aaron Everette started for Loudon and pitched 10 innings. Lord, that boy can throw the pill! I don't know how many k's he had, but he had a lot! Joey McCown went 9 for Alcoa, had 12 or 13 k's. Thompson (Loudon) and Benny Fuller (Alcoa) came on in relief. Both of these guys threw EXTREMELY well. I'm sure there will be a nice writeup in thedailytimes.com if the reporter could get it posted in time. This was certainly a marathon. I just wanted to post and say that both of these teams played a heck of a game and we are really proud of our Tornados!
