I've heard Sinnen, Faison, and Cowan so far but that's it and I can't confirm any of it?!
I heard Cole Jarvis was named POY.

Both Sinnen boys? Who does Cowan play for? I have heard Jarvis is POY. I am assuming Faison as SS or utility?

No just one Sinnen as Pitcher. Faison I am not sure as SS or Utility and Cowan was 3rd base (Salem)
Zach Jackman OF Ocean Lakes
Wil Malbon (Cox) - First Team OF
Also heard these names
Tharp Kempsville 1B
Trujillo Salem DH
This is what I see so far;
Sinnen, P Kellam
Jarvis P, Cox **POY
Malbon OF Cox
Worthly OF Kellam
Jackman OF Ocean Lakes
Faison SS Landstown
Tharp 1B Kempsville
Cowan 3B Salem
Trujillo DH Salem
So we need 2B, Catcher, and UT.
From the Landstown Baseball FB Page-
Nick Faison 1st team SS
Xavier Cooper 2nd team OF
Jacob Sinniger 2nd team 3B
Alex Blankenship 2nd team P and 2nd team OF
Hunter Mendenhall Honorable Mention 1B
Not 100% sure of any others so I won't put the names out.
Congrats to all the kids for being selected-
A couple things I would like to address in the selection process as All Beach players are chosen. I hope that they consider Defense (Errors) when selecting all beach players. I watched a few games in which an infielder made at least 7 errors in two games and now is an all district player. I think Batting Average is very important but Errors should certainly offset their overall assessment. Also feel like the Beach needs to pay a little money and have a universal stat keeper. I am not saying anyone’s integrity is at question however it would be better keep things honest. Also, if the Worthy kid from Kellam is not the POY then it would be crazy!! The kid has been a monster at the plate and is probably leading the State in HomeRuns or very close.
Universal stat keeper? hmmmmm. I also am some what perplexed as to why Worthly didn't get POY but have been told by reliable sources that Jarvis had a monster year at bat and on the mound. As for infielder with 7 errors, well I don't know the Cowan kid and have seenthe Fason kid many times for last 4 years, he's a stud don't know his stats but he had maybe 3-4 erros in the 7-8 games I saw him this year

2nd Base First Team was Ian Norris (Salem)
I don't think errors are considered for post season honors. It is all about offensive production.

So has anyone actually seen the list out anywhere yet?
I'm not doubting the POY had a big year but...Cox was #4 in the Beach and isn't even in the Top 10 in Hampton Roads.
Any word on whole list?
I haven't a clue as to had had a year worthy of POY consideration, but POY (just like all the other All-District awards) are individual honors... I don't think we should disqualify a player for consideration because his team wasn't tops in the District. Besides, in the case of the Beach District, there was Kellam and then a bunch of teams all nearly equal. Are you saying only a Kellam player should be considered for POY?
According to 757teamz, here is the complete listing:

Cole Jarvis is a wonderful story. Cole started at catcher for Cox his sophmore season. I understand for physical reasons he was unable to continue catching. Working hard to stay on the field he worked to develop as a pitcher. Last season the falcon pitching rotation was junior McCabe the beach POY, Curran another junior, and soph Bay. Essentially the falcon roation for 13 was set. Unfortunately only Curran was available to pitch this season, thus opening the door for Jarvis. Cole made the best of the situation, ultimately proving that his desire, hardwork, sportsmanship paid off for him and for his team. Remarkable change in 2 years from a catcher that was mostly Dh'ed for to a top pitcher and hitter. With that and an exceptional year on the field Cole is well qualified to be the POY. Congrats Mr. Jarvis!
Bodie Sheenan, FC, deserved to be somewhere, he had a heck of a year on the mound and at the plate, I could be wrong, but I think he was 2nd in the area in strikeouts, He is a terrific player and person,
First of all congrats to Cole Jarvis on his player of the year very nice kid I had the pleasure of watching last summer. I was also curious as to the stats of these players? Only saw them in the paper once this year. Stats would have to come into play at some point with coaches only seeing some of the kids once this year.
Understandibly every year there are players that should have been represented that were left off the list. I agree with Pilot, Bodie was impressive in about every game I saw FC play. He seemed to be the consistent leader of the team and was effective on the bump and at the plate. So for what it's worth congrats to Bodie for an oustanding season.
Pilots81-I agree, Bodie Sheehan is a good little player but anyone could have had the 2nd most strikeouts in the beach if they pitched literally almost every single game.
wow, good LITTLE PLAYER?????? geez, 2nd most strike outs in the AREA, ur an idiot
wow, come see me, im the guy in the outfield, at every game, ur an idiot
You need to calm down. I don't appreciate the immature name calling. There was nothing demeaning with my last comment, I was only stating the fact he pitched in almost EVERY single game. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
So lightning do you agree that Bodie is a "good player" or was that a back handed compliment? Can you please clarify? And possibly help us with how the comment about pitching in almost every game matters? doesnt the strikeout statistic need to be related to innings pitched not games appeared in. the coach decides how to manage pitchers not the player. So bodie did what he was asked to do, pitched some innings in a bunch of games and that is something anyone could of done, not so sure i agree with that.
Seems to me the adverse would be applicable as well. A Pitcher that sees that much action has more likelihood of having a poor outing. So if the kid played in that many games and was consistent week in and week out that would only solidify his posititon.
I would have to say that's a lot of innings over ten games with that many guys you can put on the bump.
Every year good players get left off/out, I have a difficult time understanding alot of these choices, but at the end of the day all we can say is congrats to each of these young men.
