They have surely already been chosen. Someone on this site has that knowledge and perhaps would like to share.
I would think with the few close games that Tallwood had in the season there might be a player chosen from there. Heck, they turned at least 3 double plays yesterday!
Speculation is dangerous, because you are opening up a whole can of worms only giving OL 2 and then saying Cox and FC have more.
Good luck to all of the players and lets hope that Tuesday's games are great to watch!!!!
When were they picked? I would like to know. I know not necessarily the 1st place team gets most picks.
I only see Morimando and Lambert as names I remember.Thats why I only picked 2. And yes, Topping is a possble. 3 teams were fighting it out down the stretch. I think the strongest of the squads have the most contributors. The school whos JR Class stepped up to play will take a few spots.
I know there will be some upsets.IMO
also i think "no can of worms" players should be picked because of their talent at there position.
leave the politics out

Yes they will have some hard picks at certain positions. esp. short stop.
But I take 1 from Kellam and give to Tallwood, and one from FC and give to Greenrun. Ocean Lakes seemed to be a one horse show this year. He deserve the credit and possibly player of the year. He was the player to score all 5 runs in the FC game. Without him I dont see them the top ranked team.
Thats how I pick my teams, take out the top 2 players do they still win?
Coaches may or may not have had their meeting, I would guess even if the picks have been made, perhaps they would wait until after the tournament to announce them.
You may find a few positions having more than one player chosen. Even a Co-Player of the Year. We all know that stats can be very subjective.
The real "can of worms" may open when a player that has already committed at the next level makes the list over a player that has performed better in the beach this year.
Remember, in a few years, no matter where each player ends up, these picks will become a vague memory. Keep everything in prospective.
Stats are subjective as well as wrong. At one Beach game, I found out how a leading Tidewater hitter has such a high average. He was at bat with runner at 3rd with 1 out. He hit a GB to 2Bman to bring in the run. At his next AB, the announcer says he had a sacrifice in his first AB. Kinda calls into question the rest of his average.

Over the course of the season, it could make a .350 hitter in to a .500 hitter.

My predictions for 1st team all beach would have to be

POY - Shawn Morimando - Ocean Lakes

First Base - Cameron Day - Landstown
First Base - Ryan Kilmon - Kellam
Second Base - Kyle Robertson - Ocean Lakes
Third Base - Ryan Cook - First Colonial
Third Base - Scott Hurrell - Landstown
Shortstop - Patrick Harrington - Kellam
Shortstop - Zach Bach - Cox
Catcher - Tommy Kaine - Bayside
Outfield - Chase Kyriacou - Cox
Outfield - Leonard Mitchell - Bayside
Outfield - ???
Pitcher - Grayson Bailey - Cox
Designated Hitter - David Dean - Green Run
Utility - Colton Langejans - Landstown
Kinda hard to make predictions by any guy who has only been to his kids games and may have only seen the other team once or twice. Remember, this is about this year during beach games, not AAU or Showcase etc.
Great to see predictions, as long as they are kept in perspective.
The best Kellam player I've seen is the Bishop kid in the outfield.
The Bailey kid at Cox has been a better hitter than a pitcher when I have seen him.
Just trying to make a point, which is why without knowing what they have done all year it is hard to predict.
The Morimando kid has been both a great pitcher and hitter, which should make him Player of the Year.
There have been quite a few errors this year at every position, guess like Redbird said, depends on what is a hit or an error in the book.
3 from Landstown and 1 from FC?: wow, so 14 and 2 record vs. a 5 and 11 record. Tough decision are to made, maybe just take the top 12 players and leave postions out of it, cause Bach,Harrington, Hurrell, Costen are outstanding. and other postions have several deserving players, The catcher from Green Run was a beast as was Kane,2nd base with Lee from Cox and Rienerth from FC, there's a reason Cox and FC went 14 and 2. Should be great games Tuesday nite, hope everyone supposrts the tournamnet.
These are certain in my opinion:

OL - Shawn Morimando, Tyler Clements, Alex Lambert
FC - John Bowman, Ryan Cook, TJ Costen
Kellam - Ryan Kilmon
Bayside - Tommy Kane
Cox - Grayson Bailey, Zach Bach, Tyler Knight
Landstown - Cameron Day
Princess Anne - Greg Tomchick

Others that could make the team:

OL - Killian Strenn, Kyle Robertson
FC - Buddy Lawson
Bayside - (P)??? Justice, Cody Snyder
Landstown - Jeremy Sandifer, Scott Hurrell
Green Run - David Dean
Tallwood - (lhp)Topping?
Kellam - Patrick Harrington
Cox - Chase Kyriacou

I am missing some player names from Salem and Tallwood - not as familiar with them. The list intentially weighted with pitchers.

Can't go wrong with those picks which supports my case of putting the best 12 and forget postions, cause you have 2 SS, in Bach and Costen and 2 3b with Cook and jeremy?Landstown. 2nd base and outfield are tough cause where do you put Lawson? and who played a better defensive 2nd base then the kid from FC. Harrington and Hurrell i'm sure didn't see too many pitches, tough picks, but Shawn from OL gets P.O.Y, but Bowman sure was a big game pitcher,
At least 3, possibly 4 from OL. Lambert, Morimando and Strenn are three of the best hitters in the district, on top of the fact that Morimando is 8-1. Tyler Clements should also make the team as a P, being 8-0 right now. Casey Bryant, despite being injured with a back injury would be up for selection as well, maybe honorable mention. It seems there are just you people who will never give OL any credit for being an all around good team and winning the district. To only send 2 players to the All District team would be absurd.
Hey ECU, I think we asked for your help in identifying other players at OL besides the obvious. We know you know OL well so yes, it would be crazy to put just 2 on their, maybe OL has 4 or 5. We know they are good. Arguments can be made for alot of players, thats why this site is awesome. I just read about a player from the SED whio is 9 and 0, Ryan Van Ashe, im a hugh High school Fan and this the 1st Ive heard of him, thats why this site is great.
Well.... My in put is this. I know in the past there have been Co Player of the Year, Bowman and Morimando. They both get First Team Pitcher
I have a problem with a player who transfers in and plays for a district just his Senior year and takes a spot from another Cox Senior who has been on Varsity for yeras.
Shortstop(hands down) TJ costen fasteset kid in the beach!!And I think people could tell you the pays hes made.
1st base Killman
2nd base Rinehart FC (pitches and hitter) probably no errors this year.
3 base Cook FC(pitches and hitter)
OF Chase C. Cox
OF cameron Day Landstown
OF Ryan Slater Ocean Lakes
Cathcer Dean Green Run
Utility Lawson Fc
Personal opinion based on reading the paper, the web, and stats for the season.
Second Team:
Clements p Ocean Lakes
Catcher Bayside kid
1st base too many to name...
2nd base Kyle R.
SS Killen Streen
3rd Tomchik
Utility Topping
DH Lambert

Its all up to the coaches to fight for a kid!!!
You are totally correct and good points. Stats arent the only point. And just because a player has signed doesnt mean anything performance wise this year. The kids chosen should have an impact on their team, lead their team in sportsmanship and keep them playing as a team.

The problem I see with the All-District team is there is no criteria to select an All-District team other than positions. Because there is no criteria, a coach can choose any method to decide who they feel should be All-District. Some may put more weight on academics or dedication to the team. Some may look at stats while others may look at seniority.
From what I've seen this year....this is my opinion of the players that will show up on the list....
I put a couple players in a few positions because I believe they could be interchangable

Pitchers - Shawn M (OL)
John B (FC)
1st - Shawn M (OL), Ryan K (K), Grayson B (Cox)
2nd - Kyle R (OL), Rieneth (FC)
SS - Alex L (OL)
3rd - Killen S (OL), Ryan C (FC)
OF - Leonard M (BS)
OF - Cameron D (LT)
OF - Chase K (Cox), Tyler K (Cox)
Catcher - Tommy K (BS)
Utility - Pat H (K)
DH - David D (GR)
ODU, yeah, I wasn't meaning to be rude, I took your post the wrong way. I apologize. But OL has more players who contribute than those who are published in the paper. They are a complete well rounded team. With players out throughout the year, others stepped up to have big games. And when does the actual team listing come out? This whole topic is nothing to get out of hand about. To be honest, most of the teams outside of OL, Cox and FC, should only send 1 to maybe 2. I think those three teams have made it obvious the group of players who are the top of the district.
Good nominees for the all beach team to sure, but the folly of picking by position should be apparent to all. Which first baseman, shortstop, third baseman or pitcher are you going to leave off the list, or will you simply make them a designated hitter or utility player. Why can't the beach, eastern, peninsula and southeastern districts pick the best 12 - 15 and get it right?
Sorry, I have to disagree. Should the 1st team All-District Football team be made up of all QB's and RB's? Of course not. IMO all positions require different skill sets and all should be represented on the All-District team. That is the way it is done from MLB on down. Why change it for HS? Sure, in a given year the 3rd best SS in the district may be a better player than the top outfielder, but that doesn't make him a 1st team player. The way I understand it, the object is to pick the best TEAM.
Here are Landstown's selections, from their website... Sorry, don't know about the other ones....

Scott Hurrell- 1st team All Beach at 3rd base

Cameron Day- 2nd team All Beach 1st base

Colton Langejans- 2nd team All Beach 2nd base

Will Hinton- Honorable Mention All Beach Designated Hitter

Dylan Kirby-Honorable Mention All Beach Outfielder

Aaron Price – Honorable Mention All Beach Pitcher

John Wilson- Honorable Mention All Beach Catcher
