All Northern Region nominations - second base

I watched Oakton play some last year, including the district championship, and Joey Bartosic was very strong. He made some big plays and ran the bases well. I believe he is a Junior this year.

Here are Favero's stats from the 2011 VAPreps All-Liberty District announcement:

21 hits, 15 runs, 5 2B, 4 3B, 2 HR, 12-12 SB/SBA, .500 OBP and .429 BA.

It's interesting that Favero's stats were superior to Spenser Rositano, the Liberty District POY, in almost every category.

One of his HRs was in Madison's 6-2 win against Oakton last season.

Yes, I agree. Favero is very impressive.

Are these nominations usually done before even the first scrimmage of the season?

I would venture to guess some of the best 2B aren't even sure they're going to be playing 2B this season, yet.

Papa: This is just a preseason team...primarily designed to generate conversation and interest.

All that really counts is how they finish at the end of the season.

Chantilly, it is more than likely that Bartosic is moving to left or center for this year, but he definitely has speed to burn

Alex Gransback a Junior from Lake Braddock should be watched if he plays second. Played secon and 3rd last year as a starter for Lake Braddock. Plays on the Canes North 17U, good glove, quick, and solid bat.
