I saw this posted on VirginiaPreps for the AAA all-state teams...not sure if it is credible though...anyone know? I havent seen the region team and all tidewater was in todays paper

Don't believe this to be an accurate listing of the "ALL-STATE" teams. Kind of hard to be selected for 1st team all-state and not make 1st team all-region --- but then you never know.
All these boys deserve as much recognition that can be afforded someone. Knowing the number of high schools and each one of their teams carry 15-20 players, they mast have really excelled to have been picked.

The Virginian Pilot does not pay attention to who was chosen all-state when they choose the All-Tidewater team. This has been a common occurance in the past. They also don't pay much attention to stats when choosing.

Newspaper lists are generally not the official VHSL All State listings unless they say they are, usually it is the papers staff choices which explains the disparity.
As for the VHSL Teams:
You can not make a VHSL All Region team unless you made a First Team All Disitrict.
