Any opinion between 33.5" and 32" CM3000 model? I realize, or at least I think I do, that the difference is minimal, but just wondering if any have personal experiences with either and prefer one over the other and why. Glove will be for son as he advances in HS ball. He's a freshman. My intent is to buy one now while his current glove is in good shape and doing the job and break the new one in so it's ready for next year and stay with him through 3 HS seasons. I'm assuming I can expect that glove to hold up that long. if I'm off base someone let me know. Thanks in advance. Tim

My son uses a 32" Mizuno but doesn't have a preference one way or the other on size. He does want to get an All Star CM3000SBT (33.5") eventually. My catchers mitt is all used up so I'm getting a new one (catch bullpens for my son and for my son to use as a spare) and am planning on getting the All Star CM3100SBT (33.5" - less expensive). If treated properly you should be able to get through 3 high school seasons. Not sure if it will make it through 3 seasons of high school, travel, and fall ball.
WHich size fits better? Some prefer the smaller size as its easier/faster to transfer the ball on a throw (like a SS). The ball has more places to hide in a larger glove. My son used one as small as 31.5 in college, but usually went with the 32.5
Son went from a Rawlings HOH to a AS 32 inch to help with his transfer.
My son has had an Akadema catchers mitt for as long as I can remember. A friends son was at a D1, now at a FL juco for a year... same thing...his dad is a rep for a sporting goods dealer so he could get anything he wants at cost...but has stuck with Akadema.
My son has a new 33.5" CM Model which he is breaking in when he gets a chance. He has always used the A2000 32.5 model for the last 4 years and its still his game glove but he really likes the All-star. Once it is broken in - he will probably go to that. It does break in quite easily compared to other top models.
Durability - depends upon how much use - 3 years in HS and summer ball may be stretching it a bit if used as full time practice and game glove - I am guessing around 2 years if used for everything.

My son went with the All-star 33.5 mainly because it fit his hand the best.
