Hey,
Any of you have Alumni games? If so, how do you run it, make it an event? Fundraise at it?
Would love to hear how you guys do these as we are looking to start this tradition but want to do it right!

My son's college did it for first time last year. Not sure about the "how to" but I can tell you from knowing both current players and some former players, they had a lot of fun. there were approximately 30 guys that returned to play, there were another 30 or so that were at the game. I know they had a big meal / gala the night before and then a cook out with former and current players and there families after
Hope I'm not a Debbie Downer here but before you do check out what or if there is any insurance for the alumni with your principal or central office. If someone gets hurt then it could be very disastrous for the school / school system if it goes to court.
Prolly simply signing a liability sheet to sign I would guess...but good call, something to check in on anyway...Thanks Debbie! 
I have done it several different ways depending on the size of school and number of alumni playing....
1. Have played alumni against current team.
2. Had current players and alumni on mixed teams with both alum and current players on same team
3. Had two games. Recent grads played current team and then played an oldtimers game between two alumni teams.
I never did it as a fund raiser. I was meant to build community support and have a little fun. You could easily do a hit-a-thon, HR derby, etc. before getting started or between games. Selling food is also a good money maker.
