American League DH rule (AABC tournament)

Playing in Texas State AABC tourney this coming week. They use American League DH rule, so DH can only be for P.

Here's my question:

What if begin the game DHing for my SP. I need to change P's, and want to move my SP into the field (and move a position player to the mound)? Does the SP now bat in the DH's spot?

OBR Rule 6.10b: (8) Once the game pitcher is switched from the mound to a position on defense, such move shall terminate the Designated Hitter role for that club for the remainder of the game.
