I saw this tweet today by a newspaper sports reporter who covers high schools:
twitter.com/pollonpreps/status/709847039668932608: "former porter ranch resident and current thousand oaks 10-year old could be the next big thing in baseball" and citing this press release:
www.24-7pressrelease.com/press...a-arizona-420525.php , including "Tommy remains vigilant in his quest for baseball success. As a member of the LA Xtreme Baseball 11u Elite team he has continued to wow the crowds with both his defensive plays and climbing batting average."
If I'm reading this correctly, it appear to be a press release put out by . . . his family, perhaps? Or his travel team, maybe? Even weirder, it appears that there have been a series of these. Here's one from when he was 8 years old:
www.prweb.com/releases/2014/02/prweb11546839.htm , including "Tommy is a hard worker both on and off the baseball field. Tommy is an A student and has played baseball since the age of three. He plays baseball all year around. His dream to play baseball professionally often has him missing things like birthday parties, play dates and other extracurricular activities. Funny thing is Tommy doesn't mind missing such things!! "
So the only conclusion I can draw is that this is an elaborate, well-orchestrated April Fools' Joke that is playing out over a number of years.
