Time to start looking at becoming an Umpire for the upcoming 2013 TX HS
Baseball Season. Just go to www.Taso.org or just go to the link below. Find the TASO Chapter you want to join and have at it.

"you know... I can do a better job than that"... I hear it all the time no matter if I am watching a game or it's my game... Here is your chance..

Sure why not everyone has to start somewhere... if you are a Newbie the chances of you getting a 5A Varsity game are really pretty slim Smile (though I am sure some think otherwise )... but if you work at it, in a few years who knows... Good Newbies "that work at it"can be calling Sub V 4A/3A pretty quickly and the really good ones 5A over a few seasons...

So who is game are you Confused

@ Alliance we are even working on a program to help out Newbies with buying equipment...

Hey, you should try holding a set of aluminum bleachers on the ground for 7 innings and chatting up half a dozen frustrated HSBB moms, choking down 3 hot dogs and a bag of sunflower seeds, all while trying to get some guy in a blue shirt and grey slacks to notice you by slinging witty insults at the back of his head through a chain link fence.

Now that's some tough duty...

See kids, this is an EXCELLENT photograph for any of you young people out there to study and take a lesson from...

Look closely how he's got his hands in a stacked position, palms inward, chest close, and elbows in a wide power "T" position...brilliantly chosen anchor object for his last stand, with good vocal clearance and clear line-of-sight to the ejecting umpire.

This guy's going to be able to deliver at LEAST 5 more zingers before those three State Troopers can bring him down.

So nice to see a real pro at work...
