Son played for a Northwoods team.
They were "for profit" back then, 9 years ago. Well run. High attendance. Excellent baseball. They play to win. Highly scouted by the pros. Cost to the player then was about $250, only to pay for the uniform (son had a host family and most meals covered). Heard his team was worth several million then (a high attendance team).
I don't think any owners have had players on the team. But there was an AI reference of players playing for dad coaches, but "not highly publicized". I will say, if that player had been successful, it would have been publicized
.
NWL teams rarely come up for sale. This is an opportunity, folks!
