Ladies..some of you know that BK is playing his last season in high school with teammates on the basketball court...(even though baseball is his first love)....

well his team is currently 7-0 in district with 3 games left....he's on cloud nine...

he is one of our starters after having been a bench guy most of his season last year...but he persevered and worked hard..mostly he kept a good attitude and knew he lacked in some areas..but loves to play....

So even though he's missing the first bit of baseball practices those high school memories are something he'll treasure for ever.

Just had to share...

(he and his dad are working out behind the scenes on long toss and bull pen...so he will catch up with baseball when he joins them...with school, basketball, church, working out with dad, and a girlfriend...there's no time for mischief either Smile)

This is way too fun!

And one more thing..."The local Gazette - top of sports section...sports writer says, "This basketball team has no super stars and is an empitome of what a team is all about..."

Hi Pam!
How fun for you all to enjoy these special memories. If I remember correctly he's your last at home? All the more reason to savor the memories.
Keep us posted on the team's progress!!
Congrats BK!! clap greenjump clap

This is an absolute must...I cannot refrain from sharing...

Basketball team is 9-0 now!

One game away from an undefeated district title..

I feel like our team is remaking the Hoosier's movie....our stands are packed, fans are screaming and we're buying playoff T-shirts...

And I've got to put a plug in for our coach. They don't come any better...he's what we all wish for in a coach - a role model, a leader, fair, energetic, educated, a good teacher, and a very exciting man to watch while coaching.

Tuesday night is the last game....can't wait...

WTG!!! I smell, feel, a District Championship in the air! I can see the stand erupting and the band playing, and the players jumping up & down, & a "team" dinner at the "Steak House"!!!
And of course, the headline story & pics on Wed.'s front page of the paper!
Keep us informed!

Pam, Have you asked that this Coach switch to baseball???

Very exciting for you and your family! I hope they go all the way. I'm starting all over again here. Last night my #2 son, a high school freshmen played in his first varisty baseball game. He was so excited. He did well. He was alittle disappointed that he didn't get a hit, but I told him that will come. He ground out his first at bat and was hit by a pitch the second. He did come around and score, so that made him happy.
I will be headed to the field shortly...sunny East Texas weather...temp 67, with a light breeze.

My 04 just finished in basketball Friday nite...they lost out in regional playoffs...oh but what fun!

So with the weekend off... BK went to his first practice...and got there 30 minutes early yesterday.

He's been throwing light bull pen and long toss so he feels like he'll catch up soon...

Today is his first scrimmage...and I CAN'T WAIT!

He'll not pitch, but plays left field ...I suppose he'll see the mound Saturday in their double header...

Hooray....let the games begin! party
Texas -- brag away. That's why we're here.

Had a funny moment yesterday at the JV game. Freshman Mom's son first time on the mound -- he does well -- end of the game she is a mess. Can't breathe, sweating. I tell her, hey, don't worry you just have PMS.

She looks at me like I'm nuts! PMS?? Who am I to tell her this -- I don't even know her. So, I say -- no, no -- she has PITCHER'S MOM SYNDROME. Oh.... laugh

I'm certain she went home and bragged. All Moms should have the chance to brag.

Hoping all HSBaseballweb Mom's get a bragging moment this season.

Mary Ann,

What should the mom on the shirt look like? Maybe she has one hand over her eyes but is peeking between her fingers ... or is holding up a score book and barely peeking over the top. That's not exactly how we look, but it might capture the feeling we have ... other than that, it should represent the majority of us, so she should look beautiful, sophisticated, kind and motherly yet se xy ... you know, like you and me! Sorry to hear of the loss, but what a great run. But now baseball begins. I wish good things for your son on the field. I love the idea of the shirt for pitcher's moms. Unfortunately I may need one, too. My son is the starting catcher for his jr. high team and I was happy to see him stay "behind" the plate. In our second game yesterday who do I see take the mound? My son. Oh my now I get to suffer from PMS. It went well, though. 10 strikeouts and one hit. He ran out of gas in the 5th inning after getting the first out. He loaded the bases. Coach put in a fresh pitcher and he got the next two batters.

Pam
Thanks for asking Smile

He is cathing better than ever.... he was in hitting slump since season started but... he seemed to do well the last day in FL. Fingers crossed it sticks. Wink He is so hard on himself. But I feel the coach is not to worried about it b/c he started him every game except one in FL.

He came home last night to work with his dad (favorite coach)this weekend. Sometimes just a day on the field with DAD makes all things better!!! 14

Keep in touch!!
