It has been super---the UCONN ladies continued their unbeaten streak yesterday; my alma mater, St John's won a big game yesterday vs USF; the University of Hartford ladies won their 16th in a row today , at the same time clinching the America East regular season title and just now I finished watching, once again, the Willie Mays interview with Bob Costas on MLBTV. great stuff--

Now comes the USA -Canada ice hockey game in the Olympics And March Madness is but a few short weeks away while college baseball started this weekend

Yes I do !!!! and the Olympic Hockey game tonite--read what I said--I was talking a about a great weekend not a specific sport

There is a world out there other than your small world--I think you should learn that---I appreciate all sports and the skill involved--I also happen to live in a region that has three ladies hoops teams in the top 25 right now--BTW I also enjoy curling and am thinking of joining a local curling club to learn more about it

I am also following the baseball on the college scene checking the box scores at the end of each days action
Actually there is a whole world out there of lots of things to do that doesn't revolve around sports. I think that YGD realizes that.

We went to an outdoor pet show yesterday and it was great fun watching the dogs and their owners out for a stroll, then on to a HS bb game. Both enjoyable activities. Is it ok to talk about that?

I served in many duty stations domestic and abroad. My world isn't that small afterall! THAT is what my being a Marine has to do with it.

And your BEING THERE excites me about as much as this egg dropping picture I found. Now you want to talk about something fun and exciting....

Not striving for anything TR.

Just start making some sense when you post something on here instead of being bored and deciding to come on here and say something that is completely irrelevant. Go find yourself a Bored citizens forum somewhere if you need to just vent.

If I'm not mistaken, womens' basketball has already been talked about, the Olympics has already been talked about....How about expanding some of that deep baseball knowledge you have so we can all learn something?

I coached Ryan Suter (USA) in youth football. My son was the QB, Ryan Suter was a RB, and Jonte Flowers the NCAA Division II all-time steals leader while playing at Winona State and a current European pro was the other RB. The year Suter quit football to focus on hockey I waited for the moment that his Dad, Bobby Suter an ex USA/NHL player was within listening distance and told Ryan that he should ignore his Dad and shouldn't quit football because he had NO FUTURE in hockey. His Dad's spun like I high-sticked him and then busted out laughing.

You never know. There was a guy on my friend's hockey team who was amazing- future NHLer, for sure. People were surprised when he quit hockey to play more baseball. His name was Orel Herscheiser.

FYI--Drury is from CT
Chris Drury has a baseball claim to fame. He pitched his LL all-star team to a LLWS title. The Boston University hockey team he played on won a national championship. He was College Hockey player of the Year. He was on the Colorado Avalanche when they won the Stanley Cup. He was rookie of the year. He was on a silver medal winning Olympic team. I guess the guy is a winner.
