Earlier this week - Younger son's team has the traditional "Senior night" baseball game.

Large posterboards are made - with pictures (supplied by the parents) of all graduating seniors when they were in little league/senior league/etc... and they are displayed at the ballparks entrance. Lots of jokes - at the players expense - LOL

The parents - with their son - are walked onto the field pre-game - and introduced on the field - with a little bio of the player - and where they are headed after graduation.

The players also present their moms with a bouquet of flowers. All in all - just a nice event.

So - Game starts. Bottom of the first - Monkey boy leads off.
First pitch - hits a 380 foot HR to left-center. A shot worth two bananas and 4 shelled peanuts.

Just another one for the memory books. Big Grin

I heard about the HR Gamer. What a great memory to keep with you and him the rest of your lives. Sr night was Weds night for us. We were 9-0 the team we were playing was 8-1 in conf. The outright championship was on the line. Bottom of the 6th 0-0 score. My son had already been intentionally walked his first two times up. This time we have a runner on first with no outs and he gets to hit. He hits a bb up the middle to move the runner to third on a single. We end up scoring three and win it 3-0 for our 4th straight conf title. It was a great night. And it was very sad as well. I think you know what I mean.
