Another milestone

So my just turned 12 yo (4/10) was in a wood bat tournament this past weekend. He has been hitting some scorchers both ground balls and line drives, but on Saturday on a 0-2 count put one over the fence and ended up being somewhere north of 220'. This was his first wood bat home run (he has other non-wood bat hrs). Granted he was using a youth wood bat, a cheap $30 one from dicks, but watching him round the bases and having the players from the other team fist pump and high 5 him was pretty special! Hopefully he continues to enjoy the sport, continues to grow and get stronger and God-willing..continues to excel!

YEAH! Great to hear an update from you Dadof3! I know plenty of 14u kids that can't hit 220' so it IS something to be proud of. Good for your kid!
