OK I'm done searching for the perfect swing. I've seen a whole lot of ballplayers and they all seem to have their own little thing going on. I've decided on a little linear with a little rotational. It seems to be the consensus around here. I looked at Sparky Parker's website, among others and he seems to have a great rotational system going. Has anyone heard of him or used his system?

Thanks!!

The above is a quote from Sparky's site. That quote is more than enough reason to stay FAR, FAR away from anything else Sparky has to say!

Elaborate please
I can agree with your assertion about the push, but I believe the intent of his remarks were to get the hitter to focus on extending through the ball and not before contact and that "I" agree is a good focal point for a hitter.

As far as as not teaching squaring the wrist, different players are different.I did have to work with my son to make sure he wasn't rolling his top hand under the bat.(not alot but I did catch him doing it) As you are aware,he used the Epstein approach and learned to get the bat in the zone very quickly and effectively.
Extension is something that just happens in a high-level swing. It's something to look for, but not something, IMO, to tell a player about. The squaring of the wrists has to do with grip and hand action at the start of the swing and will also, just happen. It's also something that won't happen on every swing. The barrel will be square and that's all that matters, again, IMO.

Isn't this exactly what the insider bat teaches? Squaring the wrist and staying inside the ball.
IMO,it is a great tool for the younger hitters.

It's a great tool, but it needs to be used with proper instruction, IMO. You can still do a lot of wrong things with it if taught to do so.
