Trying to see if any other 2009's or 08's might be going to the PG Underclass National at Ft.Myers this Decemeber

Just wondering if anyone has taken there son to a PG underclass national when their son was an 8th grader or Frosh? and, if so, how was the experience?

Hopefully all will be well down there by then and the event will still be on schedule.
Last year one of our players, a Sophmore at the time, did go. He went with the purpose of getting used to an event of that magnitude. They liked it so much they are going back this year when it should really count for him. He has received letters of interest this September, but there is no way to tell if it was due to this event or the others we went to this year. WWBA, USA Jr. Olympics, AAU Nationals, USSSA Nationals to name a few.
My son was a Freshman last year so I did not feel it was necessary for him to go($$). It's probably not that necessary this year either but we have decided to go, also for the experience.
In my opionion it's right on target for Sophomores and Juniors, but if your swimmin in money and don't want to give it to me, then go for it.
Our plan is to go and we have about 4 players attending. Car pooling and sharing hotel rooms is how we plan on keeping the cost to a minimum.

Also, remember that Division I coaches will not be there due to the Black-out period Nov - March 1st. However, some Div II,III,NAIA,and MLB scouts should be in attendance.
Yea...We are beginning to lean towards not having him attend this event...The $$ is not necessarily an issue but the cost-effectiveness is something everyone has to weigh. Stay in touch and, if he does not go, maybe you can give me an update ok?
