Hi,

I have played and coached club baseball for the past 4 seasons at the University of Florida. As for your questions:

-We have had 3 players (1 IF, 2 pitchers) advance to the D1 program in the past two seasons (this is our 4th season as a club)

-Our players put up around $75-$100 out of pocket, the rest of our funding comes partly from our Student Government and mostly from player fundraising

-The level of play can vary greatly from school to school. Some teams are very committed and carry a very high talent level. Nearly everyone of our players could have legitimately played at an affiliated program at some level. Other teams approach it as just a fun way to spend time with friends

I would encourage you to visit www.clubbaseball.org to learn more about the NCBA and its teams. I would be more than happy to answer any other questions anyone may have about Club Baseball

In the US DI college is one of the different groupings of NCAA college sports. There are 3 levels; DI, DII, and DIII, of 4 year school NCAA sports and DI is considered the highest level but there may be over laps in terms of ability. DII next, etc. NAIA is another organization which has 4 year school athletics, as well as, a few other even smaller governing groups such as the NCCAA that are not well know.

Two year schools (JC or JUCO) have different governing organizations that also have differnt levels, most of the US's 2 year JUCO schools are under NJCAA, but California JC's are controled by the CCCAA.
